Seamless 20 Years
New York’s #1 food delivery app, Seamless, was turning 20 years old. Which means that in the past two decades they’ve delivered through it all. From Y2K to bomb cyclones, rainbow bagels and even that time when a power plant exploded in Astoria and people thought aliens were coming. Everything to fuel this city and every New Yorker in it.
To celebrate their anniversary, we created an animated film inspired by the past tweety years of deliveries.
The film featured more than 50 unique easter eggs that only true New Yorkers would be able to recognize.
From New York’s most viral rodent, Pizza Rat…
…to that morning in 2005 when the entire city woke up to a mysterious maple syrup smell in the air.
Passing by Jimmy McMillan, former NYC mayor candidate running on the Rent Is Too Damn High Party in 2009.
Or Ming, a 425lbs. Siberian-Bengal tiger who lived in a Harlem apartment with his alligator buddy, Al.
And even a heartfelt goodbye to Sludgie the Whale. The 15-foot minke whale that took a short-lived detour in the Gowanus Canal in 2007.
Each OOH poster was also based on a unique NYC story.
The animation was directed by Andy Baker at Hornet.
And the campaign has been awarded in the New York Festivals.
